English: Membership and Contributions: Joining and monthly contributions for Murhangeri burial Society are R230 each. New members have a three-month waiting period. Members transferring from another society with payments up to date may qualify for immediate cover, subject to verification and policy conditions. Benefits and Services: Each policy covers 16 people, including the policyholder and 15 additional members. Eligible members qualify for a tombstone and flat casket coffin. If the society cannot conduct a funeral, R2,000 may be payable. For children aged 1–5 years, the benefit is R1,000 or half a grocery package, subject to policy conditions. Missed Payments: One missed month requires R500; two missed months require R1,000. After three missed months, the member must purchase a coffin and funeral services will not be provided. Funeral Arrangements and Claims: Arrangements and claims must be submitted Monday to Wednesday before 12:00 noon. Late claims are processed the following week. Claims for funerals already conducted will not be paid. Where the deceased is covered by three separate eligible membership books, each may qualify for R1,500, subject to verification. Funeral Supplies and Transport: Services include three family vehicles, a hearse, mortuary services, a flat casket, a tent with 100 chairs, a mobile freezer, decorations, 100 funeral programmes, and the specified grocery package, together with R100 electricity and R100 airtime allowances. Collection and transportation of the deceased are available from Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and North West, subject to policy conditions. Important: All benefits and services are subject to the society's terms and conditions. Members must keep contributions up to date.
